John Jay Boosters Multimedia Experience

The John Jay Booster Club is raising funds for a new multimedia interactive scoreboard experience in the high school gymnasium and a scorers' table that can be used on the Contest and AP Farm fields.

There is a major initiative underway to revamp the existing High School Gymnasium. The school district has already invested in refinishing the gymnasium floor. They will also be funding the following projects: New bleachers with premium seating section with seat backs, storage under new bleachers for wrestling mats and storage for physical education, a catwalk with alternate seating and offering space parents to video record, an announcer/press/multimedia box, state/all section championships banner section for all sports, a retired number display and new wrestling mats.
The booster club is working to augment this project by implementing a new multimedia system. This system will consist of: a large presentation screen (10’x18’) , end line screens/scoreboards (5’x10’), integrated backboard shot clocks and light up backboards
The multimedia system is flexible for all sports. It will create opportunities for student and fan engagement beyond athletics. This next-level experience for all athletes, students and fans includes features such as: player accolades, leaderboards, and dynamic content during the live events and can be used during practices and film reviews.

We believe that this amazing system will provide opportunities for engagement beyond the game/match in the following ways:
- Provide opportunities for students and clubs activities in graphic arts, music and marketing to create content
- Enhance administration outreach during curriculum night and other school events
- Promote all school events during games (game schedules, theater performances, PTO fundraisers, etc)
- Support other community activities, such as movie night
The cost of the system will be approximately $175,000. In addition to this online fundraiser, the Booster Club will be hosting a golf tournament and a poker tournament in the spring of 2022.
