John Holbert's Medical Fund

John Holbert, 34 went for a dermatologist appointment to check out his moles on his back to satisfy the concerns of his family due to having so many and always being exposed to the sunlight. There was one specific mole on his back that stood out more than others because of size, color, and shape. The mole was removed and sent off for biopsy. The results came back with shocking news. Unfortunately he was diagnosed in May 2017 with Melanoma Cancer, Stage 3-B. The cancer had spread through many layers of tissue in his back as well as moving to the lymphnodes under his arm. He has undergone 4 surgeries and endured 3 Immuno Therapy treatments once every three weeks. A result of the treatments has led to severe side effects that interrupts his everyday life of raising 3 beautiful children 11, 9, and 6 on his own and working as the Ecommerce Manager @ Dalton Wholesale Floors as well as being the Worship Leader @ Erwin Hill Church. In October he was diagnosed with Pneumonia which ended up being inflammation of the lungs, then in  November 2017, he had to stay hospitalized for a week due to a frightening side effect called Inflammation of the Brain, which led them to believe he had Meningitis. Luckily it was not Meningitis but merely a side effect of the treatments which causes inflammation of the organs leading the body to beleive he has the actual illnesses therfore causing his immune system to fight it, which causes him to be very sick and weak. Upon, the results of this last side effect the doctors have concluded to postpone any further treatments for a month and heal his immune system with steroids. After a month they will reevaluate his condition and make the decision to either stop treatments or continue them. John is a full time loving father first and foremost and fights daily to just feel normal  so that his children have a happy, well functioning and structured life. He refuses to let the side effects get the best of him and take away from his daily routine with his children, family, church and work. Sadly, John does not have insurance coverage on himself and has an overwhelming amount of medical bills. As his girlfriend I would love to have some of this stressful situation taken off him so that he can focus on his life with his children and all their needs with no worries.
