John: Christmas Eve Heart Attack

This Christmas Eve, my cousin, Sarah, was driving to her in-laws with her husband, John, and their 6 year old son.  John mentioned that he felt weird and then suddenly slumped over in his seat. Sarah had to drive through the snow for 30 minutes with John unconscious beside her until she could get cell reception.

Ambulances transported John to a nearby hospital. He then waited 2 hours to be airlifted to Seattle for open heart surgery. We have since learned that he suffered two strokes after the heart attack and currently has lost his ability to speak.

It is truly a Christmas miracle that John survived the long car ride and multiple medical transfers. However, there is still a long road ahead for John and Sarah. In addition to medical expenses already incurred, there will be a need for significant therapy. The family has also had to pay for travel and lodging expenses during the duration of John's hospital stay (we hope John will be able to come home next week). Sarah's mom has taken their son to her home in Idaho.

At this time we are not sure what the financial burden will be for the time lost at his company,  Sarah's time off work, and the cost of the procedures, surgeries, and medical care. This is a massive financial endeavor for their family and we are asking for your help. Donations of any size along with thoughts and prayers are greatly welcomed and appreciated.
