John Carl Smith , Mullin, presently living in Cross Country Care Center , Brownwood,
has lost his wife , Susan Smith . She was swept away by high water at 10 mile crossing south of Brownwood. John Carl & Sue have 2 grandsons , Dustin Mangus & J. C. Mangus at the home in Mullin . Dustin’s Nissan Pickup was swept away with Susan ( Sue)
J. C.’s Dodge Pickup was involved in an accident in Zephyr as J.C. was leaving school a few days before his grandmother was lost .
Both trucks only had liability insurance and are total losses .
John Carl is desperately appealing for help to get pickups for these grandsons.
Dustin is starting college at ASU San Angelo & J . C. Is about to be a Junior at Zephyr .
Both boys lost their father a few years ago in an auto accident near their home in Mullin
& were with him at the time on the way to school .
