John Brown Fire Relief

Donation protected
On March 22nd, 2018 at approximately 3AM in the morning, my best friend John Brown was about to fall asleep when he heard the fire alarms in his apartment building go off.  Somewhat disoriented, he fumbled his way out of the building, only grabbing basic necessities with him (keys, wallet, etc.).  When he made it outside of the building after passing through a large amount of smoke, he was greeted by flaming shingles missing his head by less than two feet.

Once John was outside, he looked up and realized the whole top floor of his building was on fire.  His neighbors had accidentally sparked the fire, which worked its way through their attic and directly into Johns apartment/condo.  His apartment suffered the worst of it (as you can see by the pictures below, none of his belongings survived) and John is now left with nothing.
Unfortunately, like many others, John does not have renters insurance.  The future is unknown at this point, and while he does currently have a temporary place to stay, we are doing what we can to get him back on his feet.

We estimate that he lost approximately $10,000 worth of belongings.  He is receiving some help from other sources so we are trying to raise $5,000 from this campaign. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and go towards helping him refurnish his new home (once he finds one).  If you can't donate money, please help us get the word out by sharing this page!  Thank you so much for taking the time to read through this.
