Since 2013 My sister, Julie Weller, has been fighting cancer in several forms. She fought hard against breast cancer and beat it! But in 2016, Cancer reared its ugly head and was found advancing in her liver. Her battle continued with several treatments and some minor victories.
However, in August 2017 Julie was rushed to the Emergency Room in SoCal where she lives, her liver failed and her kidneys werent far behind. She is receiving dialysis to help wiht that. Her blood pressure has become dangerously low and hard to maintain.
Our parents and I live in the far reaches of Northern California (671 miles away). Upon hearing the news in August, we jumped into our vehicles and drove to see her. I stayed for as long as I could afford but had to say my goodbyes and left.
Julie is at her home now with Mom and Dad stayiing to take care of her, along with her husband and two sons.
Their home is not large and there is not much room for my parants to stay there and allow Julie to be comfortable. They are trying to get a travel trailer to park in her driveway to help with that.
The last time they went down in early 2017, their old Volvo required thousands in repairs to make it home again (They are still pushing that old thing around in the SoCal heat wiht no air conditioning)
My mother has Multiple Sclerosis and my fathers age is showing. As they stay in SoCal to be with her, their expenses are mounting and could use some help. Money is no substitute for the support of love and encouragement friends and family have shared already but they could use these funds to remain down there through this time and provide some much needed relief and rest for my mother.
I am hoping to raise enough to cover a portion of teh cost of a travel trailer and fuel expenses for them.
