Hi my name is Alexis Solomou and i own Seven Hills restaurant in San Francisco. When i heard the news about one of my employees' son having serious medical issues i had to do something. As a parent myself of very healthy kids I am not sure why it has taken me this long, but i suppose better late than never. Jorge has been working with me for almost four years and Seven Hills is the only job that he has. He has a son called Johan Alexis Ramirez born May 23rd 2014. On October 8th he was diagnosed with a VSD (Ventrical Septal Defect) a congestive heart failure. A VSD is an abnormal opening in the interventricular septum that allows communication between the right and left ventricular cavities. On November 3rd 2014 at the tender age of only 5 months 10 days he went through open heart surgery. Ten long days in the cardiovascular intensive care unit to find out if the operation was a success. It was thank GOD.
Due to all the medicane Johan took before and after, the surgery resulted in the medication destroying his enamel and his baby teeth are now decalcified and he will need oral surgery to have them all removed. He will also need new teeth until his big teeth come through. We are trying to raise some money to help Jorge and his family out. This has taken a tremndous toll on him personally and financially. We are throwing a benefit dinner here at Seven Hills this coming Monday Februaary 8th . Proceeds of the dinner as well as all of the servers' tips will go straight to Johan. For whom ever cannot make it we are asking for a donation. Whatever you can spare would be greatly appreciated to help him reach his goal. The money definitely won't change his life but it will relieve a lot of pressure from Jorge and his family of three boys.
Just so you know Johan is now healthy and full of energy and can do everything any other kid of his age can do. Johan is a little warrior and we thank god that his condition was diagnosed so quickly and the doctors in the hospital could save his life. Thank you for anything you can give no matter how small it will go a long way.
