For Joey Sherwood

On Monday September 28th, our communities suffered the loss of a son, a brother, a father, a husband, an uncle, and a dear friend. There are no words to describe the devastating void that is left in the hearts of all of those that were touched by our gentle giant, Joey Sherwood.  Joey was a one of a kind guy who could light up any room with his infectious smile and his contagious laughter. He was the kind of man that would at any time, day or night be there for anyone.  Whether it be helping them with working on a car, mowing a lawn or plowing at the last minute, or just simply being a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on - Joey would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need without ever asking for anything in return.
He was a family man, married to the love of his life Joy, for ten years and had two little boys, Joey Jr. (6 1/2) and Colin (3). Joey worked hard to provide for his family, working his regular job at Crane's as well as running his own business, Brooklawn Mowing. He would take his sons with him on Saturdays to work, instilling the same work ethic that was passed down to him.  And he was never too busy to get down in the sandbox and play trucks with his boys and niece and nephews, or any other little kid for that matter... Always the big kid at heart. He loved his mother and father dearly and would drop anything to help out his brothers and sister.
And beyond family there were the countless friends that will be forever changed by a life that was taken far too soon,

We ask that we all come together as a community and help out Joe's family the same way he would have helped any of us. Please consider donating to help out with these unforeseen expenses and bills.  We know that Joey would be forever grateful for your generosity towards his loved ones during this difficult time.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day... Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear."
