Joey Jude's Walk Again Fund

Hello Everyone. Share A Life Foundation is proud to present a Go Fund Me Fundraiser for Joey Jude's goal to walking again. He recently entered intense physical therapy at Methodist Rehabilitation Center , where he is a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) patient.

Joey was involved in a head on collision on highway 6 between Marks and Batesville, Mississippi. He was airlifted to The Med in Memphis, TN where he had three major surgeries and was in a coma for nine months. Although he has been to a couple facilities, he was recently without physical therapy for several months because his insurance would only fund him for therapy for a short period of time. He was recently accepted for a short term (3 weeks) trial of intense physical therapy in Jackson, Mississippi. They will be working with him on taking the proper steps that he will need to become more independent.

Joey's Accomplishments
Joey Jude is 27 years old and was born Joseph Jude II in Clarksdale, MS, where he has become an inspiration/role-model to many in the community. He was very active in sports. He played football in Jr. High and High School. Joey graduated from Clarksdale High School and Coahoma Community College earning an Associate in General Education where he was also named Mr. Freshman. He attended University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg where he played football and also earned a Bachelor Degree in Sports Administration. Furthermore, he became a part of Nu Eta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi in Spring of 08'. He then enrolled in Alcorn University Masters Program where he was only one class away from getting his masters degree in Sports Administration at the time of his accident.

Joey Jude was a defensive back football coach at Hattiesburg High School and a P.E. teacher at Mary Bethune Alternative School at the time of his accident on July 10, 2011.

Please help us contribute to Joey Jude's Walk Again Fund as he continues his journey to recovery. His insurance will take care of some things but not everything. The funds that are raised will be contributed to necessities such as: accumulated medical bills, medical equipment, personal items, transportation, therapy, follow-up care, and immediate needs related to his well-being.
