Joey De Anda Memorial

Hi everyone, a lot of you don’t know me but I am a good friend of Joey de Anda and his fiancé and I am here to help raise money to help with Joey’s memorial service.

On Saturday January 8th, 2022, the world lost an amazing individual to a terrible skiing accident. According to the Fresno County Sheriff's office, at around 12:30 p.m. Saturday deputies responded to reports of a skiing incident at China Peak Mountain Resort.

The sheriff's office said when first responders arrived on scene they found De Anda in the snow. Deputies say he collided with a tree while heading downhill and died immediately from his injuries.

“Joey will be remembered for his positive attitude and hard work ethic. Joey made lasting relationships with everyone he came in contact with. Joey was the example that if you put your heart and mind into something, you can accomplish anything,” said Captain Daniel Bertucelli, Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Not only was Joey an amazing Firefighter and Medic but he was also an amazing friend. I have had the privilege of knowing joey for many years now and there’s never a dull moment with him and he always lit up the room with his charm and smile. Joey always had such a positive outlook on everything in life and he’s always striving to do everything he can to help others out.

Please keep Joey’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
