Joey’s Beautiful Heart

Joey has a heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot, a rare condition caused by 4 heart defects present at birth.  He has had multiple open heart surgeries over the course of his 13 year old life and is currently in need of some assistance.  Recently he had a valve replacement and became septic. He will be hospitalized for 2-4 weeks at CHOP in Pittsburgh. The cost of travel from Altoona, lodging, food, and time off from work his parents need to take is taking its toll and he will need continued medical attention that may not be covered. His father served 21 years in the Army National Guard. His mother is busy taking care of Joey and his younger brother Jake. We ask that you consider helping, even with the smallest amount to make things less difficult on this wonderful family.
