Hello,
We are Joey and Charlee Ortega. We are starting this campaign to help raise money for our adoption and adoption related expenses.
Since beginning our life together, four short years ago, Joey and I always knew and had it in our hearts that we would one day adopt. Weather is was through spending time with our sweet nephew, Daniel, or visiting with the adorable children of family and close friends, the calling to one day become parents grew stronger and louder as the years went by. At last, the time has come and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this journey. Between Joseph’s giving spirit and passionate can-do attitude, and my kind hearted and loving nature, we both know we will not only make outstanding parents but that we were meant for it.
If you don’t know, adoption usually costs 10 to 30 thousand dollars. Sometimes adoption can even cost upwards of 40 to 50 thousand dollars or more. Even though we have some funds to cover costs, and we hope to be as fiscally independent as possible, there is no denying that at the end of the day we will still need help bringing our little one home. The remaining costs and fees we are expected to pay will be for our adoption program. This program includes marketing and advertising ourselves to birthmothers (just over $16k), a home study (upwards of $3k), and attorney fees (upwards of $9k) totaling just under $30k. This is why we are asking you for help to bridge the gap and raise a total of 30 thousand dollars.
We understand not everyone may be able to contribute to this campaign financially because of your own expenses and families. Instead, we hope you offer your support by sharing our story with your friends and family so they might contribute or share our story too. In any case, we still want you to know how sincerely grateful we both are for taking a moment out of your day and giving your valuable time to learn more and contribute to our cause.
