Joes Custody Battle - Fathers For Justice

Thank you all so much for your donations so far!

We wanted to keep this relatively private but since we have had so many questions about this and so many people want to help Joe, we have decided to add a little more detail.

For those that don’t know, in April 2020 Joe’s children were taken from their home in Norfolk to Northern Ireland without his consent. He has not seen them in person since.

We are trying to navigate a system that is hugely biased against fathers and where parental alienation has seemingly no criminal recourse. International child abduction deemed a “civil matter” and even with equal parental rights, it doesn’t seem to matter if one parent decides to take the children hundreds of miles away.

We are all too aware of how nasty custody battles can be and we want to try to be as civil as we can. The police are dealing with the criminal matters for which the mother is on bail and we have been fortunate enough to source an incredible legal team who have been wonderful in their support of Joe.

Unfortunately, wonderful legal teams are very expensive and Joe is getting further and further into debt in order to fund this.

Initially when everything happened, the odds were completely stacked against Joe. Even though he had reams of evidence against the mother and had suffered abuse for years she was able to travel to another country with his children during lock down with no recourse.

Unfortunately, even now, when a woman says she is being abused it is believed without question, no evidence is needed, no questions asked. Even with photos, videos and witnesses to these attacks made upon him, Joe was laughed at as a man and completely disbelieved.

Thankfully, as the truth has begun to come out and support from those that know Joe has come flooding in, we are finally getting somewhere!
These long MONTHS of parental alienation, not seeing his children and fighting with every tooth and nail are finally coming to fruition!

Joe has not “won” yet and truthfully, there are no winners here. The children have been taken from their home and away to another country. They have witnessed their mother say and do unimaginable things to their father and they need to be back in a safe and consistent environment.

In the interim, Joe has been awarded custody of his children, with their mother having access for day time hours. However, this is only until the next hearing when a final verdict for custody will be made.
Ultimately his children are what is most important and everything Joe has been fighting for is for them. He is facing huge debts to ensure that they are safe and back to the home in which they love and around their family that adore them. Children need love and consistency and that is found in a home they know and around people that love them.

We do not want this to become an opportunity to slander another parent.
When the children are older, they will know about how much their father has fought for them with dignity. We will not use this as an opportunity to gossip, merely to share facts so that those that wish to help Joe are informed.
We trust that the judicial system will see the evidence presented before them and can only pray that justice is served fairly.

Any amount that you are able to give to ensure that this father has his children back, in the enveloping love of their family, will help a great deal.
