So, I tried putting this off as long as possible. But it appears I'm out of options. It's no joke that 2017 has been pretty rough on all of us so far. But it's definitely hit me and my family pretty hard- in fact, a little harder than we can deal with.
My dad and I are both working as Rideshare drivers while we apply and interview for something better. Unfortunatelly neither of us have had any substantial leads lately. So we spend about a collective 20 hours on the road each day to just make ends meet.
However, back in March, we both got his pretty hard with the Flu. I was out of commission for about two weeks, but my dad still hasn't fully recovered. So, Even with pulling as many hours as I could in the car alone, I couldn't keep up, pretty much destroying my credit just to keep us afloat.
Then, in June, my dad, a veteran who served in the Navy from the Vietnam era until Desert Storm/Shield, was admitted to the Veterans' Affairs Hospital in DC, where he was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure from that Flu. He's still recovering, but left weak from his ordeal. But it looked like we might have been back in business... Then the car broke down.
Because of all those hours and hundreds of thousands of miles on the car, the engine wore out, and now I'm left with a repair bill of $5000 and no way to pay it. Now, I have worked out a deal with the mechanic to pay off the repairs monthly, but even then, I still need the $2000 up front when repairs are complete.
So why 10k? There's also the bills that have piled up in the time we've not been able to work at full strenth. I'm drowning in debt, and could use a hand... or hundred.
I need to get that $2000 as fast as possible. But I'll keep this campaign open until the end of the year, if anyone still can/wants to help out as I try to pay off these insurmountable costs.
