Joel & Kathi Tice - 30yr Honeymoon

Hello! I'm Jenelle Hill (Tice). You've likely found this page because in some way my amazing parents, Joel and Kathi Tice, have touched your life. Or maybe they're complete strangers to you - either way, welcome!
Because we're all busy, I'll cut to the chase: I've set this up as a way to surprise them with a dream honeymoon they never had for their 30th wedding anniversary, but I need your help to make it a reality!
Note: this is a surprise! Please don't tell my parents :) This also means not sharing it on facebook because they might see it. If you have someone you'd like to share it with, please send the link directly to them in a private message/email.
My parents were married in a court house on March 4, 1988. They didn't have an elaborate wedding or fancy reception which characterizes their life well. I was born a year later as my dad's third child, my mom's second, and their first. I had a humble upbringing, but my parents always prioritized helping others.
When I think of my parents, I can't help but think of their selfless GENEROSITY.
Throughout my childhood it was very common for my parents to host friends and family. That included periods of family members living with us while they rebuilt their lives and hosting a foreign exchange student for a summer. I can't count the number of people we would squeeze around our dining room table for breakfasts before church. My mom would drive her Astro van all over to pick up kids for church because they didn't have any other way to get there. My guess is that if you've ever lived in southwest MO and know my parents, you've probably been told "there will be no leftovers."
When I went to college my parents were finally empty nesters. However, they graciously offered to adopt my amazing niece, Kass, who was 4 at the time. Think about that... they offered all their freedom to raise another child. It doesn't get much more generous than that. She is now 14 and an amazing young woman thanks to them.
My parents also taught me the importance of family vacations as a way to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend time together. I was blessed with taking great family vacations as a kid and seeing dozens of national parks and visiting Europe. Kass has now had those similar opportunities. However, in 30 years of marriage, my parents have only been on 2 short trips together without kids. They deserve more. They deserve their 30-year overdue honeymoon.
