Joei's Medical Fund

On December 29th, Joei became gravely ill with the flu.  The fate of his life as we know it would be changed forever.  Along with the flu, Joei developed a secondary infection that lead to septic shock, pneumonia, and kidney infection.  During that time, he was given blood pressure medication and placed on a rotor prone bed to prevent his lungs from collapsing. Although the medical measures taken saved his life, he is now faced with a new normal as an amputee due to compromised limbs.  Joei has had his first, of many surgeries to come to amputate several of his fingers. He is now waiting to schedule another surgery, as his toes will be amputated as well.
