Joe Volante's Fight with Hodgkin Lymphoma

In May of 2018, after an unexpected collapse at work that resulted in hospitalization, the Volante Family was informed that Joe Volante,  caring loving husband and father, had several tumors running from the center of his chest up through his left shoulder.  This would  be later diagnosed as Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma.

With seven grueling months of treatments, including radiation and chemotherapy, the disease went into remission for a short time; however, after a preventative image scan in June of 2019, Joe's oncologist informed him that the Lymphoma had returned.

Liezel, Joe's wife and designated caretaker cares for Joe and their 3 year old daughter, Alexandria.  Due to his many aliments caused by chemotherapy and radiation treatments, as well as from the stem cell transplant processes he is currently undergoing at Dana- Farber, Liezel cannot work, because there are no funds for day care or home health care.

Joe and his family have endured many challenges as he is waging war against his cancer so that he may have a future with his family.

This has exhausted the family both emotionally and financially.  With medical bills that have gone to collections and only a high deductible insurance plan shouldering everything has been a great challenge for the family. 

With much persuasion from family and friends, the family has agreed to the idea of crowdsourced donations to help them get back on their feet as Joe continues the battle against cancer.
