Joe Salazar Memorial Fund

Anyone who was lucky enough to have known Joe Salazar got to meet an extraordinary man.

Joe was the 7th of 10 children born in the small town of Rosebud, Texas.  At a young age Joe left his hometown and moved to San Diego to create a better life for himself.  In San Diego, he was fortunate to meet a wonderful women Guadalupe Bravo who later became his wife.

Joe or "Chepe" as everyone called him lived life to the fullest.  He was a hard worker who was always up early and ready to go at the crack of dawn.  Those who were privelaged enough to share in Joe's life knew that family meant everything to him.  He never forgot a birthday, an anniversary or any special moment in his children's or grandchildren's lives.

One of the things that Joe enjoyed was playing the accordion.  His family and friends were often treated to Joe playing music.

"Tata" as his grandchildren called him bestowed unconditional love and affection to all of his grandchildren.

Joe was a man who whether he had a little or a lot he gave everything - his time; his energy; his love and affection to his family and friends.  He was a very caring man.

This page is made for Joe in the hope that we can raise money to help with the funeral expenses during this difficult time.  Joe's terminal illness has come as surprise and shock to everyone, especially his family, so it would be such a blessing to be able to at least put the financial worry at ease in their minds.

Thank you so much for all your love and support.  The family sincerely appeciates any support that you can provide.
