Yesterday was the only easy day...

As many of you know, or are now learning, Joe was on his way into work on the morning of July 25th, when another vehicle crossed the center line hitting Joe’s vehicle, causing a head on collision.

Joe was trapped inside the vehicle and due to the amount of damage, Joe had to be extricated. He was then transported by ambulance to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. They determined he had several broken ribs on both sides, a fractured sternum, (which caused a small hematoma on the heart) and a fracture in his wrist. He also has massive soft tissue injuries to his left leg that had been pinned by the wheel well, along with many cuts, scrapes and ongoing concerns of unforeseen further and future issues.

I’m going to spare you from the photos because they are heartbreaking and by the grace of God, Joe survived this accident.

The impact of this situation has taken a significant toll on this family, and they are thankful to still have Joe. There has been a tremendous amount of support coming from Family and Friends, it’s been both emotional and overwhelming and they couldn’t feel more blessed to have each and every one of you in their lives.

Any of you that know Joe, understands he has the biggest heart and does many things for others, but is not one to ask for help. Joe is the sole provider of income for his wife and four children and will likely be out of work, for an unknown period of time. In order for Joe to focus on his long road to recovery, I am setting up this campaign to ease the financial stress that will come with medical expenses, time away from work and many other needs that will occur along the way as a result of his accident.

Anything you can do, including prayers, are appreciated.

A message from the Family,

We would like to take this time to praise and give thanks for all the prayers, well wishes, support and ongoing efforts to help us through this difficult time. Our thanks to the Buffalo Fire Department, Allina Ambulance, Wright County Sheriffs, Rockford Fire and Rescue and North Memorial Medical Center, for their immediate responses and compassion following the accident. Thank you to everyone who has come to visit, text, called and given time or helping hands during this, it has made such a huge difference knowing that we have so much love and support surrounding us.

Joe is trying to stay as positive as possible under the circumstances with a long road of recovery ahead of him.

With Love,
