The link above is a short video of
Joe....
a little piece of his journey ❤️❤️

Many of you reading this know Joe Moore personally or know of him
from his music or his job.
Joe's been a roofer for many years and an incredible drummer for even longer! He's traveled to several countries with bands and he's met
wonderful people all over the world.

Back in July, 2019,  Joe was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma (non small cell) of the left
lung.
My daughter Krisi and her husband are dealing with an absolutely horrifying disease...it's devastating...it's heartbreaking.

Since July, 2019, Joe has been receiving aggressive chemo and
immunotherapy....Joe did continued to work.

In October, Joe's 3 month scan showed significant shrinking of the tumor....the cancer did not metastasize.

In November,  Joe became very ill.. unable to eat or
drink....he was hospitalized for about a week... the chemo had to stop.
Through further testing, Dr’s found
swelling around his brain and possible brain cancer.
Even though the MRI of the brain was negative (thank God), Joe could no longer report to work.

It's now January and we have entered a new year...Joe's most recent scan on January 13, 2020
was a GOOD one...a bit more shrinkage and once again, the cancer did not metastasize!
He had another couple of "bad weeks"  but this is all a part of the battle.
He is now feeling a bit better.
Dr's stopped the chemo for now but he is receiving immunotherapy every 3 weeks.

March 1, 2020, Joe will be losing his health insurance.
Krisi can add him to her health coverage but the monthly cost, deductibles and co-pays are ridiculous.
Although Joe is hoping to return to work within the next couple of months, his Union requires 250 work hours
within 1 quarter which means, no medical coverage until hours are met and that could be anywhere from late July to late
August, depending on if and when he can return to work.
Unfortunately, they do not qualify for any government assistance.

Cancer is a demonic disease which so many suffer with or have suffered.
It is agonizingly stressful to the patient and just has heart
wrenching and stressful to the caregiver, in Joe's case, his wife Krisi.

Joe is the most positive man I have ever met. His positive attitude and
sense of humor, his courage and love for his fellow man is  eagerness to help others is amazing.
Joe Moore,  plain and simply put,  Loves people.

At the end of this story I will post just one of the comments posted to
Joe on his Cancer Facebook page, which by the way is,

Joe just told me last night if anyone fighting any illness needs to talk,
please do not hesitate to contact him.

Here is the post I mentioned above:
                                                         ***********
Robin XXXXXXXXXXXX - Joe Moore Thank you. Your honesty, your
determination, your sadness, yet your desire and fight to overcome and seek joy and appreciation in every moment is sharing a beautiful gift
with others. Your humanity, vulnerability help others, cancer or not to
feel less isolated, hopeful and encouraged. You have no idea of the lives you are touching. So, as all of your many friends and family lift you up in prayer and encouragement, you are giving back. Simply by being you.
Thank you, Joe.

                                                          ***********
My friend called me this morning..she told me of a friend of hers who is quite ill. She did not tell me of the illness and I did not ask. What she did tell me is, her friend is very worried, she is terrified.

Robin thought she would read her friend your "Good morning all" post
from early this morning, before you knew the results of the MRI. You know the post, the one that made us all cry...

Her friend ask if she could please send the post to her. She told Robin
she felt so much 'different' after reading what you had posted, your feelings, your courage, your bravery...the love you have for your wife, family and friends, humankind in general.

You have inspired her.

Robin wanted you to know what kind of impact you have on people
going through a frightening journey of their own. Hopefully as Robin's
friend reads and re-reads your post, she will gain the strength and
courage you have and it will help her to find her own inner peace.

Joe Moore, you are my hero and I love you...praying for your healing,
for my daughter Krisi's well being and the strength to continue on...
and on and on.
