Joe Harris - home from nursing home

Would you please help us bring my husband, Joe Harris, home.  He had a major stroke November 2016 that placed him in a rehab/nursing facility to  get strong enough to come home.  Since being there he has had a number of mini stokes and another major stroke, which rendered him unresponsive and the doctors gave up on him and encouraged me to do so as well.  By God's grace, to everyone's amazement God touched him and restored life to his body.  While he has significantly improved from that stoke and is no longer on a feeding tube,  he still cannot walk unassisted or use his right arm.  Rehab has taken him as far as they plan to go with him and are no longer providing him services; so right now he is basically just in the nursing home.  The cost of him staying there has just increased some 150% which is imposssible for us to afford.  I have to come up with $1200  just for December's care.   It is time for Joe to come home.

With the help of the VA and the State's Long term care Community Waiver Program, we have qualified to receive most of the assistance needed to safely bring Joe home.  All we need is to do to receive the resources provided by the State program, which include personal care attendants ,nursing, case management, medical equipment & suplies, is some accessibiliy renovations to our home. The VA said they could provide a wheelchair ramp and a chair lift so Joe can access upstiars bed and bath rooms, so just widening some doorways and renovating the upstairs bathroom is all that is left.  

We have until January 15, 2018 to get things in place and bring Joe home or the State's commitment will expire and we will have to start over again with a new application.  It is our goal to bring Joe home  before the end of this year.  Would you please help us.  The estimated cost of the needed  renovations along with Joe's outstanding medical expenses are 7500.  Thank you in advance for whatever help you can provide.  Your prayers are definitely welcomed!
