Joe Buzugbe helps his former school in Ezi

Donation protected
Joe Buzugbe has a special connection with his former high school: Ezi Secondary Commercial School in Nigeria. It was a place that supported his development. It allowed him to further his education and build his life in the Netherlands. In 2004 he went home to visit the school. He was shocked to find out that it had become run down. Joe realized in that moment he wanted to help. He wanted to return the favour to the school and give the students a chance to develop themselves just like he did before. He started a foundation and raised more than 100,000 euros in three years. With that he was able to rebuild the school. After a great makeover in 2007, the school was able to offer good education once more, benefiting over 1,000 students.

Joe has always kept in touch with the village and the school, so he kept up with the developments. Over the years, local government was able to maintain the school to a certain extent, however this did not prove sufficient. Now, in 2021, the roof is no longer in a good condition, causing rain and heat to enter the classrooms. This is no longer a safe or enabling environment for the students. This is why Joe and the school principal have agreed on a new objective: Joe aims to raise 30,000 euros through this fundraiser which will pay for a new roof. Joe will travel to the school in December 2021 to get the roof done during the Christmas holiday.

Please help Joe so the students in Ezi can have a new roof on their school!
