Dear Friends,
We’re reaching out to you today to ask for your help in supporting our good friends, Joe and Lauren Riddle. As you may know, they have faced many challenges over the last 8 years. Their journey to start a family led to very costly infertility treatments along with pregnancy and health complications. During Lauren’s first pregnancy she began having seizures, and it was discovered that she had a benign brain tumor. After her successful delivery of Kingston, she underwent brain surgery to have the tumor removed. Unfortunately, it was later discovered that a portion of the tumor remained and continued to grow. This led to years on anti-seizure medication, chemotherapy and constant monitoring. Joe and Lauren then decided they would like to try for another baby. After more fertility treatments, they happily welcomed their second son, Cruz, but not without severe complications during his delivery. Several months after Cruz was born, the seizures began again. This is something they continue to deal with daily. Just recently they were surprised to find out that they are expecting a third baby, this time a girl. This future princess is truly a miracle, as Lauren has only been able to get pregnant through fertility treatments prior to this pregnancy.
During all of this, Joe and Lauren have served faithfully as pastors at Wave Church, constantly supporting and encouraging other people. Fortunately Lauren’s employer, Movement Mortgage, has allowed her to work full time from home since the seizures have restricted her from driving. However, with both Lauren and Joe working full time to support their family, there is little time or energy left to give Lauren’s health the attention it needs. That’s where WE all can help! With a third baby on the way, we would like to give Joe and Lauren a financial gift to help with the mountain of medical bills and perhaps allow her to take an extended break from work in order to focus on her family and her health. We know Joe and Lauren have personally blessed many of you either as friends, pastors or both. We cannot think of a more deserving couple of our love and tangible support. So let’s give them the best and most unexpected Christmas gift they have ever received. We would like to keep this a surprise for them, so please forward via email not social media.
