Meet Jodi! She is a sweet, happy gal, who absolutley adores people. She came to the Humane Society back in December in search of her forever home. She was an absolute doll and everyone fell in love with her upon arrival. However, after a couple of days with us, we noticed that she was unable to use her left hind leg. She was unable to walk, or put any weight on it. We thought perhaps that she had injured it while playing. We sent her to our veterinarian for an evaluation. Sadly, she was then diagnosed with severe necrosis and deterioration of the femoral head and neck of her left hind leg. With this diagnosis, she had to be seen by an orthepedic specialist, in order to see if there was anything that could be done for her. After seeing the specialist, it was determined that the head and neck of the femor are so damaged, that there is no longer a useable joint. She needs surgery, in order to  relieve the constant pain she is in, and create a false joint that will repair the injury, and give her the ability to live a normal, happy, puppy life. However, this surgery is going to cost the shelter $1500.00 That is an amount that we are unable to cover on our own. We are asking for help! This surgery needs to be done as soon as possible in order for her to be pain free, and move forward in her search for her forever home.  No donation is too little, every little bit will help.
