To all our friends and family that have overwhelmed us with calls, emails, text msgs and facebook comments. Thank you all so very much. Jodi and I feel so very blessed & grateful to have you in our lives and that our home is still standing. As we begin the 2 - 3 month process of rebuilding the exterior that sustained most of the damage and some of the damage in our home, we are again grateful that our insurance seems to be taking care of many things.
However, some things they are unable to cover. Such as half of the new roof and our cooling system. The fire damaged half the roof, the roofing company won't guarantee the roof with the old swamp cooler and 3 layers of shingles, unless we replace the whole roof. Which makes sense anyway.
As I was explaining this to a friend from Snowbird, he said "are people asking what they can do to help ? " I told him virtually everyone has asked what can they do to help. So he told me about the Go Fund Me site and that it's a way for people to throw in whatever they can to help a friend in situations like ours. Jodi and I were uncomfortable at first, but as we thought about it we realized that we've done the same thing for others in the past. Which made us feel good about helping out. So we decided to post this and if anyone is able to contribute anything at all we'll be very grateful. We are thankful either way for the amazing number of people that have reached out to us.
God bless you all and PLEASE remind your neighbors that as of Tuesday July 11th 2017 to 12/29/2017, all aerial fireworks are banned in Cottonwood Heights City. Our CHC counsel meeting went very well, Tuesday night. We'll continue to help with a long term solution for CHC and the state of Utah.
