Jodee Mundy Family Love and Support Fund

We are reaching out to raise funds for the gorgeous woman, artist and trailblazer Jodee Mundy. 

Jodee is a new mum of seven month old Evie and step mum to four year old Scout. A week before Evie was born, Jodee was diagnosed with a rare type of Lung Cancer (Stage Four); not often found in someone of her age, Jodee has been put on special treatment and it is showing very positive results.
 
However, due to managing pain and side effects, she is completely exhausted and needs our help to ensure she gives herself and her family the best chance of recovery and care during this really tough time.
 
Jodee and her wonderful partner Nicholas have been doing their best to manage within these life changing circumstances - coupled with navigating a pandemic. We can’t imagine how difficult it has been for them.  She has been trying to balance the demands of being a new mum and the profound stress and exhaustion of undergoing cancer treatment while Nicholas has had to return to working to support them.
 
Jodee is now at a point where she needs community support for her recovery. 
 
The $20,000 will go directly to supporting:

-       Paying a Nanny to come and care for Evie so Jodee can get some sleep and respite to relieve the stress and exhaustion
-       Relieve the burden of financial stress so Jodee doesn’t spend her savings nor have to return to work full time this year and can focus on her recovery and be with her family.
-       Create a new focused ‘work’ space in their garage as during restrictions they must take isolation seriously due to Jodee's health. Nicholas has to work from home and currently, their bedroom is a workspace as well as a sleeping space. 
-  Contribute towards the costs of monthly medicines, and medical visits
- Support Jodee back on track so she can continue her artistic practice
 
Jodee has been at the forefront of support and nourishment of Australia’s contemporary arts and the Deaf and disability sectors. She is an amazing woman who has helped, supported and danced and made us all smile when we needed it.  
 
Even though these are tough times for many, I hope we can all reach out and raise the funds to support our dear friend Jodee and her family at this time. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will make a huge impact, and we greatly appreciate it.
