<div>I have created this Go Fund Me account to help my Tio Joey (Uncle Joaquin). He is a US Military Veteran who proudly served our country for 10 years. He has been very ill for the past year. After extensive testing, his doctor confirmed he has ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. This disease has affected him not only physically and emotionally but FINANCIALLY! Tio Joey had to quit his job because ALS affected the muscles he needs to move and they will soon begin to affect other muscles needed to speak, eat and breathe. He is a kind, loving and caring person who never left a man behind. This is important to me because even though my uncle never got married or had kids of his own he has nieces and nephews who look up to him as a father. The funds will be used to continue seeking medical treatment and help my uncle pay his expenses until he can get approved for his disability and social security benefits.
