My mother had one child, me. Although, I wasn't spoiled my mother showered me with love. She gave me everything she could and still supports me every way she can in my adulthood. 

Earlier this month, she was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer. It has infected her right lung and part of her neck, but thankfully, the doctors have a positive outlook. With chemotherapy and radiation, they believe the cancer can be eliminated. 

Now I find myself pushing aside my selfish wants to support my mother. For the first week of her diagnosis, I felt useless. Another overcrowding body, another questioning voice, another thing to be soothed. 

Since those moments, I've found ways to help. I accompany her to doctor's appointments, I clean up at the house, I set-up an online group for all her close friends to help with all those things as well.

And as much as those small things help, my parents are still struggling. I want to give my mom everything just like she gave me everything. 

But I can't do it alone.  

I'm here to ask for help with the ever-growing laundry list of medical expenses that my parents are having to deal with. 

My parents bought my clothes, my food and housed me. Countless of dollars were spent even after I had left college to help me be sucessfull in this world. 

This is the best way I know how to repay them. I don't have enough money to pay for everything and I don't think any one person really does, but I'm hoping there are enough people out there to come together and help give life to the person that gave me life. 

My mother is amazing and funny and my best friend. She gave me the world. I want to do the same for her.
