Joann Kerner-Morrione Funeral

Donation protected
Joann Kerner-Morrione was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 15th.

Joann suffered a sudden brain aneurysm and stroke. Despite this traumatic experience, Joann’s spirit and sense of humor, that we all know and love, remained strong. She stayed with us for nine more days until God looked around the garden and saw an empty space. He looked down upon the earth and saw her tired face. He put his arms around her and lifted her to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, as he only takes the best. He knew that she was weary and he knew she was in pain. He knew that she would never be well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed her eyes and whispered "Peace be thine."

It breaks our hearts to lose her, but she did not go alone…
For part of us went with her, the day God called her home.

Joann had so many treasures in life and she was so much to so many of us.  She radiated love for her husband, Joe Morrione and three children, Nicholas, Joseph, Hailee and daughter-in-law Kelly. She had a large family- parents, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews- all of whom she adored and loved unconditionally. She also had many lifelong friends and neighbors whom she cherished and loved like her own family.

For those of you who knew Joann, you knew of her fearlessness, strength and uplifting sense of humor. Joann was a rock to so many and she loved to help others. She was both compassionate and wise.  Friends and family not only looked to her for advice, but greatly admired her fearless spirit.

Joann found true happiness in bringing her family together. In times of grief or pain she was known to comfort those she loved by making them smile with her sense of humor.   She was an unstoppable spirit who was full of life, love, compassion and strength.

We were all blessed to have had such a wonderful soul to love us as Joann did.

As we are all familiar with the tremendous emotional pain associated with the loss of a loved one, we are also very familiar with the financial burden and strain that loved ones who are left behind must bear.

The family is requesting that donations be made in Joann’s memory, but also requesting donations in order to help her husband and children with the considerable funeral costs.

Please also send prayers, kind words and thoughts for Joann Kerner-Morrione. Words and prayers help carry those in pain through fear and grief.

Respects can be paid at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home located at 200 West Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401 on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 9 AM to 11 AM

The burial will immediately follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, PA.
