Joannes Fight to beat Cancer

On April 30th Joanne was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her ovaries. This came as a shock to many including Joanne but her positive attitude and determination to get a plan of action going as quickly as possible was the first step on this new unexplored road.
On May 5th Joanne underwent a major surgery to remove the large mass on her ovary as well as the mass in her colon. The surgeons successfully removed her ovaries, fallopian tubes and the mass in her colon. They however we unable to reconnect her bowel due to the damage caused and they made the safest decision to give her a permanent colostomy.
Joanne now has to rest and recover from surgery before she embarks on the next step of chemotherapy on this road to recovery.
Joanne is a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and Friend to many. She is an outstanding member of her community and has and continues to touch the lives of so many. Joanne has always helped those in need, opened her door to people who needed a place, she has been a shoulder to cry on and has always offered an ear to listen for anyone who needs to talk.
With this being unexpected Joanne has had to leave her job and is unable to work. As she is going through this healing process, there have been a few bumps in the road and unexpected medical costs have come up along with still having to cover living costs. We are reaching out to our family, friends and community to help her at this time. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers and we appreciate any help you can provide as she continues on this road to recovery.
