A little over 6 years ago my mother called me crying and asked me to please go pick up her sister Joann and to take care of her and so I did. Before my mom died she told me a few things, one was to stay close to all my brothers and sisters and to take care of my dad and her sister. I've been doing my best despite what life has threw at me. A few days ago I got a call that my tia Joann tested positive for Covid, today early in the morning my tia loss the battle and gained her wings. My heart is so sad, but my daughter made me realize something that we seem to forget at times. She said, mom, well atleast tia lived a good life,   78 years. And I had to stop and smile because this is so true. I will miss her dearly, all her cussing and telling me to go Fuck myself and that we are all pathetic and drug addicts. I will miss her and my dad arguing at the kitchen table. But these memories I will always cherish. Her mind wasn't right due to dementia but she always knew who I was and never forgot how to cuss someone out lol. Now I'm asking loved ones to please help me put my tia to rest. I know times are hectic and crazy, but anything will help. All money will go to have her cremated. Then we will set a later date to release her ashes with my grandma. I will update the day and time once we get it set up. Thank you and God Bless. Stay safe, this Covid is no joke and even though people recover, there are those like my tia, that just couldn't. Thank you and God Bless.
