Joanie's Brain Surgery

Donation protected
Hello friends and family. With a heavy heart, I am asking for your help on my journey to overcome my meningioma brain tumor. Without your prayers and support, I will not be able to cover my living expenses, while on the road to recovery. I am confident that because of everyone’s love and kindness I will be triumphant.

On December 5th, during a routine eye exam, Joanie noticed that she had lost most of her peripheral vision. The ophthalmologist was very concerned and quickly ordered a MRI.

Joanie was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor. The doctor recommended craniotomy for tumor resection surgery. The tumor is currently the size of a golf ball and is located on her occipital lobe, which is why she has lost some of her peripheral vision.

The surgery is scheduled for December 22 and will take up to 7 hours. Because of the location of the tumor, the surgeon might not be able to fully remove the tumor and she might need radiation treatment.

After she is able to leave the hospital it can take 3 months before she is able to return to work. Without your backing Joanie will not be able to cover all of her expenses.

Thank you for your loving support.
