The last year has been very tough for our folks, as it has for thousands of families, sadly Mum has spent much of the past year in bed. With both her vaccines now complete and we have had one vaccine ourselves and the lifting of this lockdown, we have now decided we can walk with Mum and we gave Mum a challenge. Three times a week around the 1.1-mile circuit at Stoke Lodge Playing Field (weather permitting of course) for the month of April 2021.  To our absolute delight Mum said, “Yes let’s do it”. We mentioned that we should raise money for a charity and set a target of £750 and she was thrilled with this idea. Today Philip delivered her walking gear and bless her she had forgotten that we had purchased this, and it was like Christmas Day.
