This campaign is to help raise money for the healing and recovery of Jo and Derek Clark, two incredible people who suffered a serious blow in the form of an automobile accident October 2017.
Like many other people around the world, I am lucky to call Jo and Derek my friends. They are a complimentary and dynamic duo whose level of integrity, professionalism and loyalty is inspiring.
Together they run a business called Holistic Equitation. At their yard, you will only find ethical and humane horsekeeping that is fueled by their collective passions for learning, teaching and developing symbiotic relationships with nature.
They are fully immersed in a life that strives to make the planet a better place for horses and their people. This kind of commitment requires a lot of work and much of it is physical effort. Jo and Derek were struck by a drunk driver on October 10th, 2017, an accident which resulted in broken limbs, cracked ribs, bruised internal organs, severe concussions and a completely totaled car. It is clear that the next several months will require their passions and lifeswork to be put on hold in order to focus on healing and recovery.
I started this campaign because no matter what type of healthcare, insurance or savings anyone has, this kind of accident is a serious setback to a person's life. Any extra money to make even the small things, like cat food, less of a stress is incredibly welcome.
