Help us get into a new home

Two days before Christmas, we received a notice on our door that our property manager would not be renewing our lease as the homeowner decided last minute to sell. This was a complete surprise to us as we had just spoken to them and they said we’d be receiving our new lease to sign shortly. They gave no inclination this was happening. They told us in November we could renew and went through the yearly inspection process before doing a complete 180, waiting until a few days before our lease expired and giving us one month’s notice to leave. 

Normally this would just be an annoyance (no one likes moving), but COVID furloughs and medical bills wiped out our savings this year.  We have no money saved up to get into a new place and are feeling absolutely overwhelmed. Throwing a wrench into things is the fact that we’ll have to switch around schools for my daughter once we leave here and need a stable address to get her signed up elsewhere.  Same goes for my docs/treatment for my epilepsy.

Any money raised would go towards the expenses related to moving - security deposit, utility setup, moving truck, application fees, etc.. Our goal is to make a donation to a local organization helping others in the same situation to pay it forward once we’re in our new place and can start saving up again.
