Deborah needs help!!! 2014 ended in a nightmare and 2015 is starting off craptasticly!!
Deborah has been supporting her husband, Ricky, an Army Veteran, for decades now. She has been by his side for 2 vehicle accidents which disabled him and made her the main bread winner. When things seemed to be just running an even course for them, Rickys leg began to swell with infection and at the hospital he was told it was "Staph" infection and he faced the decision to die or lose his right leg below the knee. Of course the decision was simple and today he is an amputee learning how to use, wear, and walk in a prosthetic leg. Through it all and with help from family, she continued to work. Now, she is very sick. She went to the hospital ER and found out her kidneys completely stopped working! She also had a heart attack while there to find she has blockage. She has started her road of living with and learning about Dialysis which she will have to do 3 times weekly for the rest of her life unless she can have a transplant. Deborah hasn't worked for 3 weeks now and with NO extra money coming in with her paycheck, she is so stressed out that she will lose her car, her house and all their bills will not be paid. As the main bread winner, she is proud and doesn't ask for help. She has worked on nights she shouldn't have because she had no choice...they just needed the money. She is a sub contractor that has no disability or paid time off. If she doesn't work...she doesn't get paid.
So now, if it is in your hearts and you can help even in the smallest way, I know that the stress and worry will melt away and she can focus on her treatments and getting back to a new "normal" for her.
