My name is Tammy Holland. My dear friends, Jamie and Eric Gunter, were told many months ago that there would be a 0% chance their baby would survive due to a rare disorder~ with an assumption that they should abort the pregnancy. They adamantly refused; trusting God with the future of their unborn son.
On Jan. 2, 2015. Jamie gave birth to Hayden Thomas Gunter. To the shock of many specialists in the delivery room, he did not die. Instead, he is fighting to live! The Dr. knelt beside them as they prepared themselves for sorrow, but his words came from thousands of answered prayers, "Hayden is a pink baby with a perfect heart and lungs...I want your permission to try to save him."
" Hayden Thomas went from my arms into Jesus' arms at 5:47pm Jan. 7. He was so handsome and peaceful and no longer has to struggle to breathe. This was the most excruciating and painful thing we've ever done but we know he struggles no more. Hayden was a fighter and defied every odd against him, living first through a pregnancy where he was not supposed to be so strong or be alive at birth, and then 5 more days of pure joy for us, bringing thousands together in prayer. We love our only little boy and are happy he's free. We cannot put into words how we appreciate all of you- our sisters and brothers who have wrapped your arms around us. We love you." Jamie Gunter
