Masjid Appeal- Opportunity for Sadaqah Jaariyah
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."- Muslim
The Islamic Center of Culpeper (ICC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2011 to serve the needs of the Muslim community in Culpeper, Virginia and surrounding areas. Ours is a small but rapidly growing community in this town located 70 miles southwest of Washington D.C. Services currently conducted by ICC include Jummah salah, Sister’s Halaqa, Arabic and Islamic Studies classes for children on Saturdays, Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, distribution of Zakah funds to needy Muslims and frequent community gatherings throughout the year. We also have an active program of outreach (daawah) to the community at large.
The ICC Board of Directors has planned to purchase its own property to build a proper Islamic Center in the Town of Culpeper. We plan to have a full-fledged Masjid, Weekend Islamic School and Youth Center, insha’Allah. We are requesting your help and duaa for the completion of our project. Donations made to the ICC Masjid project are tax exempt and are an investment for your life in the Hereafter, insha’Allah. We are currently $90,000 short of our target and need your support.
