help us start over

My name is Steve Guerrero, I lived in San Antonio Tx for about 42 years, I have a wife and 4 children, After years of hard work and scraping and saving we were able to purchase a travel trailer and moved to Rockport Tx. in August of last year, after struggling for awhile we were finally doing good until yesterday evening when hurricane "HARVEY" hit us directly as a catagory 4, we made it out on time and we are safely in Fort Worth but will have to return on Tuesday(if they allow us), we need help in getting our kids clothing,beds, and kitchen items, and even groceries, we need to stay in a hotel room nearby for maybe up to two weeks so that we may apply for FEMA assistance, even with my disability i chose to become a fulltime stay at home dad to my kids, my wife works on the road so my first priority is always to my kids, im raising 4, 8yo twins, 9yo daughter and my 15yo stepson, 3 of them are special needs, two of whom are disabled, any amount would help us to start over andmore importantly if you cannot just by reposting on your timeline many more people can see this, ive chosen to remain happy and positive through all this and my kids think we're on an extended vacation so i want to leave it that way,maybe when they are in a good safe home and i have time to take a deep breath i may break down, but not because of all this, because i refuse to think what it would have been like if we had stayed, remember no matter what we are happy, I've added an update, I've received noitice this AM that our travel trailer is still standing, and I've applied online for FEMA assistance, we are going to be in limbo for atleast two to four weeks, the school district informed us of closures for atleast 2 weeks, and even if the city allows us to come home the Park itself wants to be called first since we may not yet have access to our home due to extensive damage and debris, so we were also informed by the park they are not allowed to check for how much damage their is to our trailer, the floor could be gone, it may be water logged or the roof may have been compromised, so initially I will use the money to situate me and my children in a hotel as close to Rockport as allowed and hopefully with a kitchenette so I can prepare meals, immediately we will be using the money for the room, things like pots, pan, utensils, plates and cups, secondly my children and I left not only with the clothes on our backs but with enough to cover us for 3 days, I am using some of the money to buy my children some outfits until we can get back to our trailer to see if anything is salvageable, depending on whether FEMA and local agencies classify our homes inhabitable we will either try to secure another home or make repairs to the existing one, i.e. Windows, roof etc. first will be replacing all items in refrigerator since it has gone bad, secondly hopefully it still works, the biggest problem for us is the not knowing and waiting, we all want to go home and that is where our heart is, but we are still and will remain happy and safe
