Help Ayden Get His Scent Dog

Hello! We are hoping to raise money for our little boy, Ayden, who is severly allergic to peanuts. We wanted to wait until Ayden was older to start this journey, however, he has now become airborne and contact sensitve which has made our lives much harder and more confined. Going to grocery store is no longer a simple task or even playing on the playground. Having him a companion that will always have an extra eye (nose) on him just seems like a huge win for us all.
When researching options on buying a scent dog, we suddenly realized the cost is extremely high. Buying a dog from an organization will be anywhere from $15,000-$20,000 plus airfare and hotel for 2 weeks minimum. And 1-5 year waiting list. After further research, we found an amazing local breeder who is known for breeding K-9 units and has hypo-allergenic dogs for families like us who need that as well. We also found a local lady who can train dogs (and parents) to accomodate us in our everyday activites, including scent protection for Ayden. This is definitely the way to go on affordability and also having the ability to have the dog from 8 wks old instead of 1-2 years old after being fully trained.
Half of the money needed is to pay for our precious puppy. The breeder needs $500 down to hold a puppy in our name, another $500 in April when we choose our puppy, and $600 when we take it home 8 weeks later. After the puppy is up to date on all shots and released to start training from the vet”s wishes (around 12 weeks), we will then start taking weekly Saturday classes to train both the dog and our family. Scent training can take up to a year and sometimes longer. This lady has an amazing price of $95 for 4 classes. After we all feel that the puppy and ourselves are ready and able for this new life, we will then begin certification and making him/her an offical service dog.
Everyone keeps telling us to try gofundme and we never have because we felt this should be something we need to do on our own since it is our "wants." However, after having the reactions he has had and the doctor's saying it will only get worse, we now know we need this and have no way to come up with those funds so quickly and repeatedly.
