My name is Haajar Eberle. I started the facebook page, Humans in Need, in an effort to help the Syrian people who have taken refuge in Turkey.
There are hundreds of families who have fled their war-torn country and are desperately in need of help. They are hard-working people. People who had homes and land and work. People who have large families to feed and shelter. Some of these people are taking care of their wives and children along with their parents, their uncles and aunts, their siblings who've been injured, and/or their nieces and nephews whose parents have been imprisoned or killed. It's a sorrowful state to witness, but we are hopeful that we can alleviate some of that sorrow a bit at a time.
Our goal is to help these families become financially independent by initially paying for their living expenses and helping them start small businesses or find work. It will be a long struggle, because the number of people looking for work are many, while the jobs are few.
