We got the keys to our new adoption center mid Dec but we still have a long ways to go. With 9 rooms and 1800 sq feet to paint it's already cost us close to $1000 just to get about half the painting done as we're repainting everything including the cement floors. We also need AKC kennels, cat room supplies, shelving, storage, decor, cleaning supplies, kennel supplies, furniture, and not to mention monthly rent and utilities for overhead now which all comes out of rescue funding (accumulated through adoption fees). We have the fund set at $5000 which is only a drop in the bucket for opening a new facility. We've already paid out about $1000 in paint, rent for two months, plus security dep, $500 just to turn on electric, and other misc supplies such as mop bucket, bleach, paper towels, broom and dust pan, and other cleaning supplies just to get started so we're already nearing this $5000 mark just on initial fees to get us started. We would like to at least hit this goal to help us through the next stages of getting our new center up and running. We'll also be needing computers, printers, office supplies, etc. The list goes on an on. Even $5 helps us.....please share and help us get our center up and running soon.
