JJ’s Leukemia Fight

Sometimes life comes and catches us by surprise, so as a family we would like to come together and set up a go fund me account to help with related costs due to JJ’s recent diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). ALL is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells. Their beautiful family consists of Jordan, Ashley, JJ, and Jaxton all of whom are currently staying at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera California while JJ receives chemo treatments. We would like to surround them with our love and support during this difficult time in life and help ease some of their burdens.
Jordan Michael Motton Jr. (JJ) was born on October 3, 2013 and was just the most precious, perfect little baby boy! Jordan and Ashley welcomed this sweet baby and experienced being parents for the very first time and were in awe as they watched him reach every milestone. Over the last 4 years he has continued to melt our hearts with his wonderful personality, crack us up with some of his funny little phrases, and impress us with his intelligence. JJ is the sweetest, most incredible little boy and we have enjoyed watching him grow and develop into his own little self.
We celebrated his 4th birthday together and as with every birthday came time for his annual doctor check up. His check up was less than two weeks ago where he passed with flying colors. Ashley had mentioned to them that she thought his iron might be low and they said no he looks great! Ashley persisted for peace of mind to check it and it came back low twice so they sent them to PAL. The Saturday following his appointment the pediatrician called and told them to take him to the Memorial Pediatrics Emergency because they received his results and he had abnormal bloodwork. After 8 hours there they said he didn’t have leukemia, but thought he may have some type of anemia so they referred them to Valley Children’s Hospital. Their appointment was set for last Wednesday Dec. 20th when they received the most devastating news! The doctors at Valley Children’s immediately told them that Bakersfield was wrong and he has Leukemia and needs to start chemo today.
To say this came as a shock would be a huge understatement! They received news that no parent ever wants to hear and something that I wish no child had to endure! If you are willing and able to help with the associated costs it is truly appreciated! Every little bit helps as they spend the holidays in the hospital undergoing treatment and with all future expenses. We can’t thank you enough for the outpouring of calls, texts, love and most importantly your prayers! Please continue to lift their family up in prayer during this season of life for them. Help us pray for the doctors and nurses who work together to give JJ the best care while they are there. God is the ultimate healer and we are believing he will be cured!
