<div><strong>Mathis </strong>a été victime d’une crise convulsive qui a bouleversé ma vie et celle de ma famille à jamais. Le 1er janvier, nous avons entendu un<strong> diagnostic </strong>que aucun parent n’est préparé à recevoir : <strong>un gliome infiltrant diffus du tronc cérébral (GIB), l’une des</strong> tumeurs cérébrales pédiatriques <strong>les plus agressives et les plus rares</strong>, touchant moins de 0,001 % des enfants en France, soit à peine une cinquantaine de cas par an.

<div><strong>La tumeur est inopérable et le pronostic très limité.</strong> Pourtant, nous faisons tout notre possible pour que Mathis défie les statistiques et devienne un des rares cas de succès face à cette maladie si dévastatrice.

<div>Au cours des premières semaines, Mathis a subi des examens et traitements initiaux. La prochaine étape est la radiothérapie, dont l’objectif est de ralentir, voire stopper, la progression de la maladie. <strong>Mathis participe également à un protocole expérimental, contribuant à la recherche et à l’avancée des connaissances sur cette maladie, </strong>avec l’espoir qu’un jour, d’autres enfants diagnostiqués puissent bénéficier d’un meilleur pronostic.

<div>Nous avons mis notre vie et notre travail entre parenthèses pour rester à ses côtés. Notre quotidien est désormais fait de visites à l’hôpital, de démarches administratives, de moments de tristesse, mais aussi de force et d’amour partagés avec Mathis. <strong>Après</strong> ses cinq semaines de<strong> radiothérapie, Mathis entrera dans une période de répit appelée la « lune de miel », que nous espérons la plus longue et la plus pleine de vie possible.</strong>

<div>L'objectif de cette campagne est de nous permettre de rester à ses côtés, d’alléger la charge financière et de nous concentrer sur l’essentiel : accompagner Mathis. <strong>Les fonds collectés serviront à couvrir les factures et les besoins du quotidien pendant cette période où nous ne pourrons pas travailler, mais aussi à réaliser certains rêves de Mathis et lui offrir la meilleure qualité de vie possible.</strong>

<div><strong>Mathis </strong>suffered a seizure that changed our lives forever and on January 1st, we received the<strong> diagnosis</strong> no parent is ever prepared to hear: <strong>a diffuse infiltrating brainstem glioma (DIPG), one of the most aggressive and rare</strong> pediatric brain tumors, affecting less than 0.001% of children in France, barely fifty cases per year.

<div><strong>The tumor is inoperable, and the prognosis is very limited. </strong>However, the doctors and our family are doing everything possible for Mathis to defy the statistics and become the second known success case against this devastating disease.

<div>As parents, we have put our lives and work on hold to stay by his side. Our days are now shaped by hospital visits, paperwork, and sadness — but also by an incredible strength we share with Mathis. <strong>After </strong>his five weeks of <strong>radiotherapy, Mathis will enter a period of respite known as the “honeymoon”, which we hope will be as long and full of life as possible.</strong>
