Caring for Karen

If all our mother had to her name was $10 and you needed it, even though she doesn't have a license she would find a way to get it to you.  She's kind hearted and always putting other people's needs before her own. 

For those that don't know, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March,  just a year shy away from losing her twin sister to cancer. 

She is retired and supplements her retirement income working weekends at the now Sit & Chat in  Sussex.  

As you can only imagine, medical benefits for a retired person covers yearly check ups and random sick visits but doesn't begin to put a dent in her medical bills. 

She is a very humble person and is probably not going to like me doing this for her, but hey.. I've been stubborn ever since I was born.. There are some things you just can't change.  

We realize it's growing closer to the holiday season and everyone is starting to prepare for the added expenses, however if you could forgo a trip to Dunkin or Starbucks and share just a little bit with our mom I know it would help alleviate some of her stress. 

Isn't it ironic, stress is a huge factor in the illnesses we are stricken with, yet the bills we are burdened with just make it worse.
