Olympic Trials Marathon Aid

Hello Everyone!
I hope this finds you well! For those of you that don’t know my name is Matt Fecht and I am currently a secondary physical education teacher at an alternative education school and also a semi-professional marathon runner. It is an absolute privilege to work with some of the most unique students the educational system has to offer and has helped make me the person, teacher and runner I am today. Each student has a different set of challenges that they bring to the table and face adversity every single day that the majority of people will never face in their lifetime. As a semi-professional runner I have competed in numerous marathon races across the world after my All-American collegiate career at Wayne State University, climbing the ranks and getting to the point where I set the goal to make the Olympic trials for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. It is an absolute honor to announce that I have qualified for the Olympic Trials Marathon in Los Angeles; and now the work begins!
Part of that work is finding enough funding help for my trip to the Trials and unfortunately the reality of being an educator does not lend itself high amounts of disposable income. Further, with qualifying so late in the process there has not been ample time for saving enough funds for the trip. As a former Collegiate All-American at Wayne State University (MI) and further a semi-professional runner I have been blessed with having run at a very high level, but this Trials qualification is the highest level and your help would be much appreciated!
Your consideration, support and potential aid in funding is much appreciated, as I have never had to ask for support before, but this being the highest goal in the running world and given the situation, I have finally come to ask. I am relying on your financial support and could not be more thankful for your aid in this dream! This is a surreal opportunity and especially one for an Educator which I hope will inspire many of the kids at my school and in the Metro Detroit area!
