Please help save a home!

Hello, my name is Ed and I'm desperately trying to help my friend's save their home!

The Family:
Allow me to introduce you to Cathy Jackson Rogers and her Daughter Amelia.

Amelia, 30 (who turns 31 on the 12th. of June)  has intractable epilepsy  and a learning disability. Due to these Special needs, they live a very different lifestyle than what most of us consider "Normal."

Amelia is a patient at a well known NC Neurology Clinic and she has been dealing with this condition since the age of 7. As a result of her frequent, difficult seizures, her intellectual development has been retarded. She is unable to live independently and needs 24 a day supervision and assistance with her daily activities.

Her Mother, Cathy, is a certified Healthcare worker and has been her primary caregiver for the past 3 decades, this may seem like the perfect solution to a situation but it has made it impossible for her to seek gainful employment outside of her home.

Cathy works for a private healthcare entity who is retained by the State of North Carolina for cases like this. Needless to say, they live on a fixed income and she and her daughter are just getting by... but barely.

Amelia, being classified as 'fully disabled" does get some help from SSI and a stipend to help cover the costs of her medications which run at $1500.00 a month.

Their Dilemma:
The house is currently in Forclosure! due to some unexpected financial circumstances that occured this past Winter and she has been playing catch up the last few months, but she is still behind in her payments, it's now down to the wire. She is working with her lender and they have agreed to put her on a program that will lower her payments to a much affordable level if she can come up with $3800 by the 20th. of June when she goes back to court.

The Mortage Company is asking for the 2 months owed and a $2000 "good faith" payment before they will proceed with the refinancing.

She has been in this house for 20 years and any kind of move would be detrimental to her daughters condition not to mention losing everything she has struggled all these years to hold on to. She has put every penny along with here sweat and tears to see that her daughter is cared for but now may be headed for the street if something can't be done.

So, I'm asking you again... Please help save a home! and a Special needs child's way of life. Were asking for $4,300.00, this will get Cathy and her Daughter back on track with the Mortgage Company and cover the GoFundMe fees.

Thank you for your time and concern. If your still reading this, bad things do happen to good people and this is one of those times. Cathy did not really want me to do this, but I'm not in the position to help her to the extent needed and I or she has no one else to turn to.

Please consider giving a gift of love to help keep a stable home for a child and Mother in need.

God Bless.

"A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great."
