I was hired as a Hospice worker and moved to the San Jose area for employment reasons. After having worked there for almost 3 years I was let go right before Christmas. On the same day I was in a car accident. As of today, January 5, 2015 things have turned for the worse and I have been diagnosed with uterine cancer. I live alone, no job and no health insurance and need surgery.
As a Hospice worker I have given love, support and empathy to those making their transition and to their families. I have also been there to give emotional support to friends. At this point, I do not know what to do and I am reaching out for help. Anything is appreciated, no matter how small.
