Help Maria Battle Cancer

As many of you know, back in September 2019 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Up until now my treatment plan has been long, aggressive and exhausting. The physical and emotional toll has been grueling and it has brought anxiety and much sadness to my daughter and my family. It has been a rough and trying process. The BATTLE is REAL. Being a 38-year-old single mother and going through CANCER seems surreal at times. It has not been easy. Although I am almost done with Chemotherapy (5 more weeks out of 20) I still have a long and trying way to go. As part of my continued treatment plan I will have a double mastectomy performed in April, then 3 months of radiation, additional surgery and treatment followed by another 4 months of immunotherapy. As a result of this I will be off work for a much longer period of time than originally anticipated. Cancer treatment is a long and slow process that takes its toll on every aspect of a person's life and of their loved ones, and I have learned that no one can face it alone. In an effort to continue to support my family during this stressful time and in order to help with the never-ending additional expenses this dreaded disease has burdened us with, I am setting up this account. I thank you in advance for your support and your prayers. Como muchos de ustedes ya saben, en Septiembre de 2019 me diagnosticaron Cáncer de Seno Triple Negativo en Etapa 3. Hasta ahora, mi plan de tratamiento ha sido largo, agresivo y agotador. El desgaste físico y emocional ha sido cansado y ha traído ansiedad y mucha tristeza a mi hija y a mi familia. Ha sido un proceso duro y difícil. La BATALLA es REAL. Ser madre soltera de 38 años y pasar por CANCER a veces parece irreal. No ha sido fácil. Aunque ya casi termino con la quimioterapia (5 semanas de 20) todavía tengo un largo y difícil camino por recorrer. Como parte de mi plan de tratamiento me realizarán una mastectomía doble en abril, luego 3 meses de radiación, cirugía adicional y tratamiento adicional, seguidos por otros 4 meses de inmunoterapia. Como resultado de esto, estaré fuera del trabajo por un período de tiempo mucho más largo de lo originalmente previsto. El tratamiento de cáncer es un proceso largo y lento que afecta todos los aspectos de la vida de una persona y de sus seres queridos, y he aprendido que nadie puede enfrentarlo solo. En un esfuerzo por mantener mi familia durante este momento estresante y para ayudar con los gastos adicionales que esta temida enfermedad nos ha agobiado, estoy creando esta cuenta.
