Jim’s Medical fundraising page

This page is for our jim , Jim Penny , A local Westbury character who is sadly fighting the biggest battle of his life and needs our help . He has stage 4 prostate cancer that has sadly now spread to the left side of his pelvis , back of liver , spine , chest cavity and lymph nodes , Jim’s condition is terminal and this is devastating news for him, his family and friends . In the next few weeks Jim will begin an intensive round of chemotherapy, as some will know this is something he really hoped he wouldn’t have to do but now has no choice , a few months ago Jim had 3 biopsies taken to be sent to a private clinic that can provide target therapy  by testing DNA of the cancer , 2 of these samples have perished and Jim can no longer afford to have another one done so at this time he has to resort to having chemotherapy . He has spent the last 3 months in total agony and is on numerous medications , he will never be able to work again , a big blow for a man that has served his queen and country ( The Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal  Regiment , Berkshire & Wiltshire )  and would of happily served again if he could . Jim relies on a lot of people to help him for which he will be forever grateful , the people that love him will do anything he needs but Jim is a proud man and wants to live a better quality of life as independently as he can without always relying on others . Jim is as we all know is one of the wittiest caring and proudest men we know  who wouldn’t ask for anything unless he had to , this is to help fund his treatment and spend precious time with Mary ,his boys and his family and not forgetting his beloved bulldogs (his  babies ) and making as many memories as he can . If you can help in any way no matter how small he would appreciate it . All funds raised will go directly to Jim , as much as Jim appreciates everyone’s well wishes etc his medication makes it hard to speak to everyone individually and also he is still himself trying to get his head round all of this , so all messages etc can be left on here , a massive thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping ❤️
